Sarria is the point chosen by many pilgrims to start the Way, and it has many interesting places to visit, such as the Church of Santa Mariña, the Church of El Salvador and the Convent of Magdalena.

You will start the Way to Portomarín, a town located next to the River Miño. There, you will find the Chapel of “Virgen de las Nieves”, the church-fortress of San Nicolás, the church of San Pedro and the Pazos of Conde da Maza and dos Pimentales.

The next step on the Way is Palas de Rei, which has a “concello” with a strong artistic heritage, as the Church of San Tirso, the Castle of Pambre and the Pazo of Ulloa can demonstrate.

Moving forward on the Way, you will pass by Arzúa, a place which offers the oportunity to visit some places like the Convento of Magdalena and the Church of Santiago”.

Soon before arriving at Santiago, you will finish this stage in O Pedrouzo, belonging to the O Pino “concello”. Here you will find the memorable Chapel of Santa Irene.

Ready for the last stage, you will leave O Pedrouzo heading to Santiago de Compostela.
Once in Santiago, you will be surrounded by many landmarks. The main points of interest are the Cathedral and the Square of Obradoiro, but that does not mean those are the only remarkable places, as it is also recommendable to take a stroll around the historic district, to taste the gastronomy and to visit some other iconic buildings such as the Catholic Monarchs Inn, the Monastery of San Martín Pinario or the Pazo of Raxoi.
